Stephan
Tomlinson has spent decades helping landowners
navigate the evolving challenges of timber and
land management. As the owner of Growing Assets,
a consulting firm that grew out of his father’s
forestry business dating back to the 1950s, he
continues a legacy of providing expert guidance
on sustainableforest management. Under the
umbrella of Natural Resources Group, Tomlinson
has expanded his work beyond timber consulting
to include real estate services through South
Main Realty and South Main Land Realty,
specializing in both residential and rural land
transactions across Alabama, Mississippi, and
Tennessee.
In response to shifts in timber
markets—particularly an oversupply of
pine in North Alabama—Tomlinson has
developed innovative solutions,
including an online timber mart that
connects buyers with available tracts,
ensuring private landowners gain better
visibility for their timber sales.
Additionally, his company Wildwood Land
Solutions provides specialized
land improvement services, from road
construction to green field development
and site preparation for reforestation.
With a deep understanding of both
forestry and real estate, Tomlinson re-
