Benefits of Membership

AFOA's monthly newsletter (see a past issue), Capital Ideas, puts you in touch with events, around the southeast, of interest to our members and connects you to the professionals of the forest industry that can help you make the tough decisions of managing your land. We provide information on forest ownership issues to news outlets and ownership issues to legislators.

We provide information about numerous educational workshops and tours through-out Alabama and the immediate surrounding states such as our 2017 Annual Meeting which was held at the 4-H Center Conference Center in Columbiana, Alabama on April 21-22, 2017. You are able to look through the videos and information on older annual meetings by clicking here. You will have access to the following: video of the speakers, presentation slides used by the speakers, and speaker bios.

 

 

 

AFOA provides access for our members to easy-to-use county timber buyer lists: $15 per county printed on gummed labels and referrals to consulting foresters for no-cost initial consultation.

HUNTING LEASE LIABILITY INSURANCE - $1 million group liability insurance policy for protection from Hunting Lease related liabilities 8/1/2016 to 8/1/2017: (Click here for Application)

Annual Cost for use of Policy for an AFOA member: $88 plus 19.5 cents per acre (one AFOA member leasing to one hunting club) is slightly more than last year.

Annual Cost for use of Policy for an AFOA member: $30 plus 30 cents per acre
