Patrick McGough has worked in a variety of roles within the industry throughout his career. It’s that variety to which he credits much of his success in his current role as a forest manager at Larson & McGowin.

After graduating from Auburn University in 2000 with a degree in forestry, McGough gained experience in the forest industry as an independent contractor providing services to forestry consultants and timber buyers, as well as an employee for a large family ownership. A couple of years later, McGough took on a new role when he started a forestry service business. After about eight years as a small business owner, an opportunity came along to join Larson & McGowin. “My previous experience from a service provider’s point of view helps me relate to the contractors I manage today,” he said. “I have great respect for the guys that are out there every day getting the job done the right way.”
