PROFILE

T. R. Clark has been in the industry for decades, but his passion and appreciation for forestry has never wavered.

After graduating from NC State with a degree in forest management, Clark spent some time working for a forestry company in Georgia, but in 2003 he joined F&W Forestry Services, Inc. Since then, his interest and experience within the
industry has guided him throughout numerous positions. After starting out as a field forester—a position that had him cruising timber, marking timber, and watching over loggers and planting crews—he transitioned into meeting with clients, both small private landowners as well as large institutional owners. Sitting
down with those clients, learning their goals and putting a plan together to implement them, is a part of the job he enjoys most. “If a client calls and says they appreciate my help, that’s the most satisfying thing,” Clark said. “It doesn’t matter what project it is. When we get the call that says we achieved what we set out to achieve, that we helped somebody achieve a goal, is incredibly rewarding. I don’t ever take that for granted.”
