PROFILE The love of forestry and the outdoors was
cultivated in Russell Brunson at an early age. Growing
up in rural Alabama, he was an avid hunter and fisherman
and he watched his grandfather and father work in the
industry. So when it came time to select his career
path, the choice was pretty simple.
“Forestry was easily my first choice,” Brunson said. “I
enjoy being outdoors, planting a tree, caring for it and
watching it grow.”
Ever since receiving a degree from Auburn University in
forestry, Brunson has worked in some form of timber
management. In April of 2021, Brunson struck out on his
own and started Brunson Forestry Services, LLC offering
the same services and the same level of care and
integrity for his clients. Based
in Grove Hill, Brunson works with clients all over
southwest Alabama and in eastern Mississippi to maximize
their investments and help them achieve their goals.
“Having a hand in every step of the process, from the
plantings to when it’s cut, is rewarding,” Brunson said.
“It also means a lot to play a role in taking care of
what will become products that will play a huge role in
everyone’s daily lives.”
