Cliff A. Logan and Associates in Eutaw, Alabama is run by the second generation of Logan forestry consultants. Although Cliff Logan, Sr. passed away in 2000, his sons Clifford Logan, Jr. (Tony) and James Logan (Jim), continue to serve landowners in an eight-county radius. Leslie Rogers, Office Manager since 1981, said that Tony and Jim grew up going out in the woods with their dad and never thought of doing anything else. They took on different roles in the company, with Tony getting a forestry degree and Jim a business degree. Both are licensed appraisers, and Jim is a licensed real estate broker, heading up their real estate division.

The Logan family business prides itself on handling everything a landowner needs, from timber sales and site prep to locating and purchasing new property. Although they contract out things like logging, herbaceous weed control, and replanting, the forestry technician on staff oversees all work. Rogers said she has seen a lot of transition as she watched the second generation grow up and eventually take over. She herself had to learn new skills in the small office, like mapping and even some IT support. She estimates they manage a total of 40 to 50 thousand acres for private landowners in West Alabama. Though Cliff A. Logan and Associates has undergone many changes, their core mission to meet landowner needs has never changed.
